Podio-Ferrari-Award for BBS
As a supplier of excellent quality, BBS Kraftfahrzeugtechnik AG has been awarded by the Ferrari Maserati Group. First place at the “Ferrari Innovation Award“ for innovations constantly improved for Ferrari, Ferrari Formula 1 and Maserati GT-vehicles.

Today, BBS Kraftfahrzeugtechnik AG has been awarded the “Ferrari Innovation Award“ for the development innovated solutions for best-quality wheels for Ferrari and Maserati Formula 1 and GT vehicles. Common goals, teamwork and technical perfection are being praised.

This is a result of a longstanding partnership with Ferrari. Since 1992, BBS is supplying Ferrari with the lightest forged and rim rolled magnesium wheels. Weight, stability and reliability are decisive for Formula 1 and GT-Cup victories. Every gram of material saved helps improve overall performance - an advantage for the high stressed Formula 1 - wheels. Technical innovations and perfection - facts convincing the Formula 1 - champion Michael Schumacher having won totally four World Championships on BBS-wheels.

The "Ferrari Innovation Award" is a result of an intensive cooperation as well as the common success with Ferrari and Maserati. Nearly all series vehicles of the Ferrari Maserati Group are equipped with BBS-wheels. BBS Kraftfahrzeugtechnik AG is proud of this award, a motivation for the further cooperation with the Ferrari Maserati Group.

　2002年6月25日、ドイツBBS社から日本BBSとワシマイヤー株式会社にビックニュースが飛び込んできました。概要は「このたび、フェラーリ･フォーミュラーワン、マセラッティGTのホイール供給メーカーとして、（マグネシウム鍛造製法による）ホイールの革命的技術革新と、長年にわたり最高級品質･高性能を供給し続けたことは驚くべきことであり、大いなる賞賛に値すべきものであるとして『フェラーリ革新大賞』に決定しました。･･･」というものでした。

　この賞は年に一度の審査だけで決まるというものではなく、熾烈きわまるF-1で1992年からフェラーリのF-1マシンの足元を支え続け、過去6回もワールドチャンピオン（2004年F-1シリーズ終了時点）に導いた功績や、世界の名車として君臨しつづけるフェラーリ、マセラッティGTへ最高級品質のホイールを供給し続けてきたことに対する賞賛なのです。
